Family Matters | Week 3

The days are long but the years are short

Your parents behavior, not their advice, determined whether or not you want to be like them or with them.

Your parents behavior determined how much respect you had or have for them.

Just because I have a parent doesn’t mean I know anything about being one.

Just because I was a kid doesn’t mean I know anything about raising one.

“Woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.”
– Luke 11:46 NIV

Jesus was all grace and all truth all the time

The Law of Christ
To love others as Jesus loved us

What’s in it for me!
I want my way!

Fear
Insecurity
Anger
Ugly

A defining moment is better than a teachable moment.

You were already a family before you had children.
They are simply a welcome addition to something that already exists.

I will not do anything for you if its not good for you, because I love you.
