6 QUESTIONS TO DETERMINE GOD’S WILL

  1. Does the Word of God speak to my decision?
  2. Is God telling me anything specific in my prayer time?
  3. What do circumstances seem to indicate?
  4. What is the Godly counsel of others?
  5. Do I have peace in my heart?
  6. What is the desire of my heart?

 

It can be God’s will for you to do something, but not His timing.

 

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

– Philippians 4:6-7

 

God wants to replace your anxiety with peace.

 

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

– Proverbs 4:23

 

QUESTIONS FOR OUR DESIRES:

  1. Does the thing I want to do bring me glory, or bring God glory?

  2. Do I want to do this because it will make me look good, or make God look good?

  3. Does this bring me followers, or will people know God better because of what I’m doing?

 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”

– Philippians 4:8

 

God is with you, and He will give you peace in moments of anxiety.

 

“And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those called according to His purpose.”

– Romans 8:28
